Likes on Church News

You can like a story without signing in. We do not put anything on your device for this. We store a one-way code made from your internet address and browser type (it cannot be turned back into either) so one person cannot like the same story many times. People who share a network and the same kind of phone count as one. If you are signed in, your like is saved against your account instead, and is removed if you delete your account. Comments and stories you submit are saved against your account and are removed if you delete it.

If you say no

Everything still works. Those items are kept only while this tab is open and are forgotten when you close it.

Our record of your choice

We keep your choice (yes or no for each group, and the date) so we can respect it. If you are signed in it is saved against your account; if not, against a random code in your browser. We do not store your IP address for this.

These load straight from Google or YouTube when a page opens, so Google can see your internet address and browser details at that moment. They are not held back by the cookie choices above, because the page cannot show its text styles or preview pictures without them.
