Prayer transforms us to be willing to lay our lives down and fulfil the Great Commission no matter the cost. Prayer gives us the burden. - Carole Ward

In remote mission fields around the world, frontline workers often face difficult conditions and communities where initial progress is slow. For months, missionaries may encounter closed doors and hard spiritual soil, leading to natural feelings of discouragement. Yet, rather than giving up, these workers in Christ's vineyard persist. The only retreat is to take time to pray and anchor their efforts in faith, knowing that their labour is not in vain.

There is no better verse to explain the situations that face missionaries every day, like the way Paul puts it in Corinthians 11:26

I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers.

This comes out in the 700 Club Report on missionaries to the Sahel Region. Carole Ward follows her father's footsteps in pushing the frontiers of mission work where few may tread. Working to equip local believers for the work of ministry.

It is a labour of endurance for God and for souls. It's a mission of faithful intercession, consistently equipping believers and sharing God's Word patiently, and this work is bearing fruit. Local individuals and families, impacted by sustained acts of kindness, are coming to know and accept Jesus Christ as their saviour. These developments highlight the quiet, steady progress of missionary work over time.

This report serves as an invitation for believers to support missionary work through intentional prayer. The 700 Club encourages viewers and partners to remember these frontline workers, asking for continued strength, wisdom, and open doors as they serve in challenging environments.

Heavenly Father, we pray for the mission field. We pray for missionaries around the world. We ask that you will accord them the strength and the voice to fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which they are missionaries. We pray that they will declare Your Word fearlessly, boldly and with signs and wonders following them. We pray that you will continue to bring great harvests in the missionary fields and that the harvest will indeed last and entrench the Kingdom here on earth, as it is in heaven. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen
